This month's Oedipus Motorcycle Club ride will have us starting at the Park Pantry in Long Beach on Junipero Avenue and Broadway and end at Piston for the 2010 Mr. Sol Cal. Gay Biker event and contest. Weather is predicted to be in the high 70s to mid 80s.
For North L.A. County riders, we'll depart from the Silver Lake Starbucks located at the corner of Glendale Blvd. and Fletcher Drive at 8:30am. We'll ride down to Long Beach and meet at the Park Pantry Diner.
We'll depart the Park Pantry at 9:30am and work our way to the 605 North, Trunbull Canyon Rd., the East 60, South 71, East 91 and South I-15. There will be fuel stop off of the Magnolia Ave. exit. After the stop, we'll make our way to Hwy 74, San Antonio Pkwy, Santa Margarita Pkwy, Plano Trabuco Dr. and finally a stop for lunch at Cooks Corner.
After lunch, we'll ride North on Santiago Canyon Rd. (which will become East Chapman Ave.), then North of Hwy 55, followed by West of 91 and exit Cherry Ave (make Left and then another Left on Artesia Blvd.). The total miles for this ride is roughly 165.
As always, check your oil and tire pressure and wear protective gear. You might also want to bring a change of clothes for the Piston's event.
